"Your body is the child of the soul. you must nourish and train that child." (B.K.S. Iyengar) Our children are growing up in a fast-paced, information driven world, which constantly demands new emotional, physical and mental resilience. Developing mindfulness and relaxation skills are vital to living a happy and healthy life in our society. Doing yoga helps children and adults to develop the physical and mental stability to cope with the stress and strain of modern life. Yoga is a subject that is fun and exciting for children, and which also helps to develop qualities such as patience, concentration and sensitivity to others. I am currently teaching a children's and a teenager's class in at the Iyengar Yoga London Institute in Maida Vale. Children Tuesdays 5-6pm Teenagers Wednesdays 5-6pm Both can be booked here I also teach in schools usually as part of after school club programmes across north London, if you are interested in having Yoga Club at your school you can contact me by phone on 0790 444 5759 (texts preferred) or email at lucy@yogabase.org for further information. |
